What We Do
Pallandrome is not a traditional event company.
- We care about the world. We want the earth and its inhabitants to be healthy.
- We care about style. Aesthetically pleasing surroundings are important; they make us happier!
- We donate 10% of everything we make to charity.
- We come up with event ideas and contact environmentally friendly and socially responsible businesses that fit with the theme to purchase promotional tables at our events
- Not quite trade show, not quite party; Pallandrome events are a mix of the two
- We coordinate fun, creative events to promote worthy causes, however networking and building meaningful relationships is the core of what we do
- We want to help businesses connect with causes they care about and their customers care about. Pallandrome is available to coordinate a unique event for your business to make an impact in your community and raise awareness for your business’s cause.
Our Name:
Pallandrome is a play on the word “palindrome”.
Alla Ioffe, the founder and CEO of Pallandrome, was reading a book titled Cradle to Cradle by William McDonough and Michael Braungart, about the production process of goods. The authors posit that instead of thinking about products from beginning to end, we should think from beginning to beginning. This would mean we would have to account for the disposal and break down of the products we make and use. We must recycle and make sure things we toss away aren’t around for centuries after we are.
The idea of eliminating waste and recycling brought to mind the word “palindrome”. A palindrome is a word that is the same forward as it is backward, it goes from beginning to beginning. One example of a palindrome is the founder’s name, Alla.
The domain name for palindrome was taken, however a friend suggested to Alla that she put her own name into the name of her event business, as it is also a palindrome.
And so it went: Pallandrome.
